The client

Spain Tourism in Italy is the official body responsible for promoting Spain as a travel destination for the Italian market. At the time, each country operated its own independent social media presence, before Spain unified its global accounts in 2025.

The challenge

Over four years, the goal was to build and maintain an active and engaged community around Spanish tourism through gamification and prize contests. Each initiative required its own visual identity, logo, and aesthetic, always built around a specific concept connected to Spain and its culture. In total, 16 initiatives were developed, including 6 prize contests, all promoted across Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter.

  • 16 gamified campaigns and initiatives successfully launched across all platforms

  • 6 gamified contests with prizes executed

  • Ranked in top 3 engagement every year among all European Spain Tourism offices

Spagna Green

The visual identity

The logo merged hand-drawn typography with a clean sans-serif typeface, balancing organic and urban aesthetics to reflect sustainability's core message. Two shades of green reinforced the environmental theme, while a red-accented carnation (Spain's national flower) at the top created a visual bridge between nature and national identity. The red accent tied everything back to Spain visually.

The gamification

A 5-question personality quiz designed to match Italian travelers with their ideal sustainable Spanish experience. The gamification mechanic was simple: users answered questions about their travel preferences (urban sustainability, nature exploration, and food & wine experiences) and received a personalized tourism guide based on their profile.

Personalized result badges

Each outcome was paired with a custom icon-badge that visually represented the recommended experience.

The logo featured two wine glasses in red and white, mirroring Spain's flag colors. The glasses were rotated to echo the silhouette of question marks ¿? that outlined them, a nod to Spanish grammar's distinctive punctuation and the quiz's exploratory nature.
